Home / Sensitive and Atopic Skin
Children’s skin, more sensitive and thinner than that of adults, is characterized by a constantly evolving skin microbiome which makes it more predisposed to imbalances. When our little one has sensitive and atopic-prone skin, it often happens that inflammatory symptoms and erythematous lesions, in addition to the fact that the skin is often dry, leading to itching and irritability in the child.
The skin of children on the cheeks and arms is very dry (a skin condition which in the medical field is called xerosis), it is often flaky (the most superficial layer of the skin is eliminated due to dehydration) and sometimes red patches appear which become inflamed, the child scratches, is restless, cries often and falls asleep with difficulty.
